Dumont Park and Faure Park
In the heart of town, Dumont Park is a former private estate turned public park: tall trees, greenhouses, a pond and a petting farm delight strollers. Right next door, Faure Park extends the walk. A coffee near the station, then a wander under the plane trees of Dumont, makes for an easy afternoon date, both accessible and gentle, to take time getting to know each other.
The Old Village and Saint-Sulpice
To the north, the Old Village recalls that Aulnay was once a market-garden village. Saint-Sulpice Church, listed as a Historic Monument, raises its twelfth-century bell tower above quiet lanes. The Old Village Farm, a cultural venue in an old building, hosts exhibitions and concerts. A walking tour of this district has the feel of rediscovered countryside, ideal for a date a little off the beaten track.
Ourcq Canal and Bondy Forest
Nearby, the Ourcq Canal can be cycled from Aulnay towards Paris, a long ribbon of water lined with guinguettes and cycle paths. To the east, the regional Bondy Forest offers a small green lung for a Sunday walk. On Lyad, Aulnay locals share their favourite spots; it is up to you to find someone to climb on a bike one Sunday, head along the canal and finish on a terrace.
